About CBBG:

The Chesapeake Bay Boating Group was started in 2007 by Charles Spangler and David Mathison in order to a provide a FREE group to provide useful assistance and information to bay boaters.

Mission:

To establish an online group for boaters of all walks of life, race, creed, belief, and preference that share one common goal, BOATING. To promote boating, safety, good seamanship, provide aid and friendship to other boaters, and to promote good stewardship of out waters.

Membership:

Membership is always FREE and will remain that way! We do appreciate any support in the form of donations to help maintain the site, server, and hosting fees. All we ask is that you register, promote the site, and keep coming back for more.

Activity:

We do not require that you are active with the group, but do encourage you to participate in forum conversation and any group events. Some events may have a fee involved with them to cover food, beverages, and supplies but will be kept to a bare minimum.

Solicitation:

We reserve the right to ask for donations that will support group interests such as, but not limited to waterway conservation, wildlife conservation, boating safety, education and any other form of charity that the group collectively supports or approves.
